The challenge: Respond to a daily brief posted to twitter by One Minute Briefs with your quick idea. It can be mocked or just scribbled on a napkin, but you have a deadline to get it in and potentially win. From One Minute Briefs by Bank of Creativity: “We promote brands & causes via social media by challenging our creative community on Twitter to respond with instinctive ideas to daily advertising briefs & reward the best entries.”

Client: Loum Beauty
Brief: Create beauty advertising posters to show the power of removing the effects of stress on skin with @LoumBeauty #LockdownSkin
It's said that beauty is timeless, but isn't it life that should be timeless? That's the "serious" take; for the fun take see a sprite Lauren who never uses skincare products.

Earth is the only habitable planet within our reach and yet we're destroying her every single day. Earth Hour takes place yearly as a lights-out event on the last Saturday of March, engaging millions to inspire global action.

Some things will always taste like home.

Client: Oatly
Brief: Highlight the absurdity of Amendment 171 by creating posters featuring totally nonsensical packaging designs for @OatlyUK products, without using any similarities, or even inference to dairy. #StopPlantBasedCensorship #StopAM171
Oatly, the oat-based milk maker that stole the Super Bowl (yes, that ad with their founder singing his song), is fighting a proposed EU Amendment that would restrict plant-based products from any 'evocation' of dairy products. Want to say that Oatly is not milk? Nope, not allowed. Want to show Oatly used in your morning cereal? Try again. Ridiculous? Absolutely, which is why Tiger Juice is equally ridiculous.

Client: The Drum
Brief: Create posters that are a refreshing change from current doom & gloom Covid ads & encourage the public to keep going that little bit longer. #LetsGetThereSooner
It seems obvious that each of us is looking forward to the end of COVID for different reasons: some might be excited to go on a trip while others are likely dreaming of seeing their older relatives, but what about the oddballs among us? This was the fun idea for today's brief, executed as best and quickly as possible.

Client: Beyond The White Lines
Brief: Create posters to champion women in sport and raise awareness of the challenges they face during and beyond their career with @BeyondTWL #InternationalWomensDay #IWD21
She is a She. It's why she faces the backlash, the doubt, non-equal pay, discrimination; the list goes on and on. Not because of talent or ability, but because She is a She.

Client: Sliderfy
Brief: Create personalised posters to promote @Sliderfy_ custom sliders and show how you can #StandInWhatYouStandFor
My first thought for this brief was a collaboration with Stand Up to Cancer. Together they would create custom branded slides that benefit cancer research. It just goes perfectly with #StandInWhatYouStandFor.
Thursday, March 4, 2021
Client: PGtips
Brief: Create posters that combine the perfect blend of having a cuppa and reading a book for #WorldBookDay!
Some things just go together in life and tea paired with a good book is top of that list! Like Birds of a Feather. What are you reading? We know what you're drinking.
Wednesday, March 3, 2021
Client: World Wildlife Fund, The Laughing Cow
Brief: Create posters to support today's #WorldWithoutNature campaign with @WWF & @Voice4Planet by removing the nature from famous logos/badges & show them in their natural habitat for #WorldWildlifeDay
Don't be the cause for a world without nature. Simple enough idea, but clearly much harder in practice. For this campaign I challenged The Laughing Cow to remove nature from their logo in order to imagine a World Without Nature.

Client: Cathedral City
Brief: Create posters to drive awareness & trial of @CathedralCity #SandwichSlices
Picture this: Lunchtime. Today you have a sandwich and you've been looking forward to it all day. You take it out and immediately have a major decision to make: do you take a large, over-sized bite, and risk choking, or do you take a normal bite knowing that you'll get bread, vegetables, meat, and no cheese? Okay, maybe not life or death, but it does leave you to wonder why there isn't a cheese that covers all of the bread. Fear not, for now there is (if you live in the UK at least).

Client: Philips
Brief: Advertise #ALARMCLOCKS
Have you ever purchased something that became so ingrained in your life that you're not sure how you could go without? Sure, our iPhones probably make that list, but what about an alarm clock? That's what happened when I bought a Philips SmartSleep that mimics a rising sun to gently wake you up. See, I'm not a morning person. There are times I will find myself still awake at three in the morning working on some project. That's just when my creativity flows. I still have responsibilities and need to make up early, even after a late night, and that's where the Philips comes in.

Client: Vdubline
Brief: Create posters to advertise @Vdubline #Campervans that are ready and waiting for Staycations this year!
Vdubline offers rentable campervans at an affordable price allowing you to staycation away from home. I created two different posters for this brief, but each centered around getting together and getting away. With the tagline “What memories will you make?” I wanted audiences to envision their own group of friends and loved ones, and the fun they could have renting out a campervan for the weekend. The second piece, relevant to our lockdown COVID times, is all about escape. “Find Your Escape” allows you to get away from it all with your own private oasis on wheels.
Thursday, February 25, 2021
Client: Generic
Brief: Advertise #PIANOS
When you think of pianos do you think about… monster movies? Maybe not, but that was my first thought and I ran with it.
Wednesday, February 24, 2021
Client: Georgetown Cupcake
Brief: Advertise #CUPCAKES
You never forget your first bite. Georgetown Cupcake, popularized by the television series “DC Cupcakes,” makes gourmet cupcakes that are as delicious as they are appealing to the eye. With lines that wrap around the building in their DC location you might be better off shipping a box to yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

Client: Beyond The White Line
Brief: Create posters to promote ‘Beyond The White Line’ and the great work they do in the world of sport.
“Beyond The White Line (BTWL) is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to affect change within the professional sports industry for athletes and stakeholders alike. We want to ensure that generations of athletes and those within the ecosystem of sport have a sustainable future, within an environment that is Human First.”
You only have one. Life after sport.

Client: Nike Skateboarding
Brief: Advertise #SKATEBOARDS
Tried skateboarding once. I was young, probably ten or so, maybe younger. Fell flat on my face. First and last time for that. Skating went similarly. Anyway, here are two ads I made for Nike SB: “board meeting” and “It’s time to board.”
Friday, February 19, 2021
Client: Me!
Brief: Advertise #YOURSELF
How do you advertise yourself? At first I had a lot that I wanted to say, but how to get it all across in a quick and snappy advert? Ultimately what I’m all about comes down to one word: love. My passion and creativity all stem from it. Erik Williams: All About Love.
Thursday, February 18, 2021
Client: Froot Loops Cereal
Brief: Advertise your #FavouriteCereal
Let’s be honest: cereal is the go to for busy families that don’t have the time (or want, for that matter) to make a breakfast spread. Froot Loops: The Get It Yourself Option Since 1963.
Wednesday, February 17, 2021
Client: Sauce Shop
Brief: Create posters to spread the word that @sauceshop are changing the condiment game. #SauceJustGotReal
My first ever response to a One Minute Brief. Inspired by AMC’s Mad Men, I took a page out of Don Draper’s work for Heinz and kept it pretty simple.
